Scott Banks Big Night Out 2009
Over 10 years the Big Night Out in Leeds has become the MUST BE AT
event of the year. No other event in the UK has a BNO like this one and
over the years many fantastic players and fun loving people have visited
the BNO with almost all return visitors year on year. Scott would be so
proud of his event and a chance for bowlers and supporters to let their
hair down for once and have a great time. As well as bowling, Scott's
great passion was to have fun and this event delivers in everyway.
The event will be at Superna in the centre of Leeds

The live band this year will be Rebel Yell. Many of you will already
have heard of the band after they donated tracks to the PTBC Masters
and have been used on a few Talktenpin.net videos. The band will be playing two sets during the evening, first one will be their own music some of which can be heard here http://www.myspace.com/rockrebelyell
The second set will be covers and oldies
The
band are a very energetic four piece and have played with some of the
greats of music including the one and only Paul McCartney. They also
have a large and growing following having played live all over the UK.
The boys have been playing together since they were only 10 years old
and were once the youngest rock and roll band in the world under the
name The Rockabeats and played with of all people Bill Haley's Comets.
Three brothers and best mate make up this awesome band and you soon
realise just how good they are when they can actually play their
instruments, Massive guitar riffs and a drummer who plays standing up,
You wont forget this band in a hurry as they play catchy rock.
Rebel yell will rock the place and you will all cry More More More. Check them out on their website
Tickets will be available at the event on Saturday and Sunday

Scott's BIG NIGHT OUT
| 2008 |
|
 |
Last year's band was Love Train at Elland Road and it was a great
night as always of Music, Comedy and Dance. This was the last event to be organised and run by Scott's Mum and by Jo Hopper, Wendy Worth, Graham Worth and Kevin Walker as they now take a well earned rest with John Egan and Dominic Gall taking over the reigns for the 2009 event.

| 2007 |
|
|
2007's band was The Solicitors and the Hot News was Lea Roberts was back again at Elland Road for a great night of Music, Comedy and Dance. Lots of money was raised as always in the Auction with some great item's like a PBA Sean Rash signed shirt and signed items from the Weber Cup and World Tenpin Masters.

The Ambassadors and comedian Lea Roberts
|
 |
Comedian Lea Roberts stole the show this year with his
fantastic performance at the '06 BNO. The main auction raised over £2000 alone. The
live band, The Ambassadors, belted out hits from Neil Diamond, Elvis and the
Blues Brothers and DJ Sean linked the whole night with seamless style. We can't
recommend Lea highly enough, why this guy isnt on TV more is a mystery to
us.......TOP NIGHT. |
| 2005
|
Soul Sensation |
 |
Soul Sensation, a Tamla Motown group were exactly that - a
sensation. The dance floor was packed all night and DJ Sean played a fantastic
set with an awesome light show. It's getting harder and harder to top each years
BNO but Soul Sensation did just that... |
| 2004
|
Majesty |
|
Queen and Freddie Mercury tribute band Majesty played last
year and didn't let anyone down. Continuing a tradition for good authentic live music they gave their all
and performed with the style Freddie would be proud of. A kind of magic you
might say. |
| 2003
|
The Mersey Beatles
|
|
The Mersey Beatles are
probably the best band we have had. Hit after hit and a rendition of Hey Jude
that nearly took the roof off. All in all a band that grabs you from the first
song and shakes you until you cant fail to sing along. Highly recommended. |
| 2002
|
Fabba |
|
FABBA gave us a seventies night to remember. If you have
never seen a tribute band you would be convinced Abba was in the house. Mamma
Mia, The Winner Takes It All, Gimmie Gimmie Gimme to name a just few of the hits belted
out. Thank you for the Music we say! |
